SITA Australia Websites
Fuse Digital designed and developed four websites, SITA Australia, SITA-MediCollect, SITA Western Recycling and BioWise, using a single content management system to administer all four sites through ExpressionEngine's multi-site manager.
4-in-1
One of the most relevant aspects of this project is that all 4 websites – even being completely independent from each other – are managed through the same Content Management System (CMS). Each website has its own area in the CMS and the access is restricted by User Roles. What this means is although the main administrators can manage all four websites in their CMS, some other users can only manage the site(s) that they have been given access to. Some other users may even only be able to manage specific areas of a website.
With only one CMS managing all 4 sites, this allowed content to be shared across all websites, so there's no need to duplicate content when the content applies to more than one site (for example news and press releases).
The new CMS also integrates with Google Analytics, allows for SEO friendly URLs and future integration with the new SITA CRM system.
Designing stage
The design of the new SITA Australia website had to reflect the brand values of their parent companies, SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT and Sembcorp Industries - adapting to the Australian market as necessary. To optimise the client’s budget, SITA-MediCollect, SITA Western Recycling and BioWise websites were built using the same framework and structure. However we implemented different CSS Stylesheets to meet each individual brand requirements.

An Interactive Map that can be updated in the CMS
Fuse Digital designed and developed an Interactive Map of Australia that shows SITA Facilities in various locations across Australia. Each location on the map can display multiple addresses with individual pages holding specific information.
The map is not a Flash Application. It was built in Java Script and PHP – so it’s iPad and iPhone friendly. And because of the language used, the Map could be integrated to the website CMS where SITA staff can add new locations on the map, addresses of Facilities and additional information independently. There is no additional cost for the client to update the Interactive Map since they can do all the updates in-house.
YouTube Integration
Both website and CMS also integrates with SITA Australia YouTube Channel. Within the CMS, a built-in video management functionality enables CMS administrators to search and add YouTube-hosted videos (or videos on SITA's YouTube Channel) to SITA’s video page. On the website, the video opens in an elegant and minimalist overlay window.
Google Map integration
BioWise website incorporates a Google Map to both front and back-ends. In the website,
‘Buy BioWise Products’ page displays a branded Google Map listing all BioWise distributors. The locations can be managed inside the CMS without the need of going to Google website to add, remove or edit locations.
