Fuse Digital designed and developed the ARIA Restaurant website launched in August 2009. The brief was to develop a website that would promote the existing ARIA Restaurant in Sydney, the new ARIA Restaurant in Brisbane, and Chef Matt Moran.
User-friendly interface with multiple brand minisites
Fuse Digital developed the information structure and user interface to make the website easy to use and navigate around. To effectively promote the three 'products', the website was developed to have three minisites: ARIA Sydney, Matt Moran and ARIA Brisbane.
ARIA Sydney and ARIA Brisbane minisites were created to incorporate each restaurant's own branding with the use of customised stylesheets, using 'ARIA blue' for the ARIA Sydney minisite and 'ARIA red' for the ARIA Brisbane minisite. Matt Moran's minisite predominantly used ARIA Sydney's stylesheet so it looks very similar to the ARIA Sydney's minisite.
Segmented Content Management System
To enable the client to manage content internally, the website was developed with an easy to use Content Management System (CMS). Each minisite had its own place in the CMS to enable the client to create and manage different content for each minisite, therefore allowing appropriate menus, wine lists, image galleries and other content to be displayed on the corresponding minisite.
Instigating customers to participate
To encourage users to book a reservation online and sign-up to the mailing list, the 'Reservations' and 'Join our mailing list' calls to action are highlighted in all pages of the minisites. Booking submissions are kept in the appropriate database and sent to the right recipients (Sydney reservation requests go to the Sydney Reservations team and Brisbane reservation requests go to Brisbane Reservations team) to ensure appropriate communications are sent out.
